一、研究专长与兴趣
本实验室以物理活化(steam)和化学活化法(KOH、NaOH、H3PO4和ZnCl2)制备活性碳,比较活性碳各种特性(物理、化学、吸附、电化学),获得具有省能源(活化时间较短;活化温度较低)、经济性(产率高)、质量佳(BET表面积较高)、孔隙变化大(从micropores至mesopores)和应用广(于各种新兴科技,如:超高电容器、燃料电池和氢气储存等应用) 之活性碳制造技术。其中两段式KOH活化法分别以杉木、阿月浑子树果壳、蔗渣和玉米轴等农产废弃物为原料,制备高表面积活性碳,发表于SCI期刊多篇。利用KOH伴随CO2之制备方式,探讨活性碳孔隙特性和吸附与超高电容器之应用,以低环境成本之NaOH活化法制备高表面积活性碳,获得单位表面积吸附能力高于其他制备方法之活性碳,受到国际重视,被引用次数逐渐增加。
另外,为了解决许多新开发之低价格吸附剂(如:天然矿物、植物、海产、微生物、废弃物等)吸附操作不便,与吸附剂功能无法充分利用之困扰。利用平衡级数原理,进行多级共流与逆流吸附之推衍与吸附程序设计,并以实验证明不同吸附程序之优势。本实验室针对四种吸附动力学模式(introparticle diffusion model, Elovich equation, Lagergren’s first-order equation, and pseudo-second-order equation)进行理论推衍,利用吸附动力学的特性曲线,说明动力学参数对吸附强度的影响,并经由文献引证和实验证明吸附动力学参数的强度。提供工程设计和操作之正确评估方法。
