一、研究專長與興趣

本實驗室以物理活化(steam)和化學活化法(KOH、NaOH、H3PO4和ZnCl2)製備活性碳,比較活性碳各種特性(物理、化學、吸附、電化學),獲得具有省能源(活化時間較短;活化溫度較低)、經濟性(產率高)、品質佳(BET表面積較高)、孔隙變化大(從micropores至mesopores)和應用廣(於各種新興科技,如:超高電容器、燃料電池和氫氣儲存等應用) 之活性碳製造技術。其中兩段式KOH活化法分別以杉木、阿月渾子樹果殼、蔗渣和玉米軸等農產廢棄物為原料,製備高表面積活性碳,發表於SCI期刊多篇。利用KOH伴隨CO2之製備方式,探討活性碳孔隙特性和吸附與超高電容器之應用,以低環境成本之NaOH活化法製備高表面積活性碳,獲得單位表面積吸附能力高於其他製備方法之活性碳,受到國際重視,被引用次數逐漸增加。

    另外,為了解決許多新開發之低價格吸附劑(如:天然礦物、植物、海產、微生物、廢棄物等)吸附操作不便,與吸附劑功能無法充分利用之困擾。利用平衡級數原理,進行多級共流與逆流吸附之推衍與吸附程序設計,並以實驗證明不同吸附程序之優勢。本實驗室針對四種吸附動力學模式(introparticle diffusion model, Elovich equation, Lagergren’s first-order equation, and pseudo-second-order equation)進行理論推衍,利用吸附動力學的特性曲線,說明動力學參數對吸附強度的影響,並經由文獻引證和實驗證明吸附動力學參數的強度。提供工程設計和操作之正確評估方法。
